Alejandro González has documented these lines with such meticulousness, almost topographical, turning into a profound metaphorical work.
On the other hand, Alom- from that idea to metaphor, weaves together possible paths with real characters, thanks to the documentary photography language. Two photographers with dierent styles of work communicate about the human being and his routes.

With the performance Los abrazos, Manuel Mendive opens up at the XIII Biennial of Havana. Among renderings of the musical piece Quiéreme mucho, traditional choirs, the beat of the drums and the rooster song, the half-naked bodies of dancers painted by the artist. e song of the rooster will be the sign to begin the exhibition, where dierent techniques and languages will take place: videos, sculptures, metal relief surfaces and
paintings, his main theme turning to be, once more, the man together with mythical beings, strange for some, sensual for others and totally unknown for many, all become
one single voice.

Muquixe or “disguised” in dialect of African origin, shows lots of ritual masks used in ceremonies of the old continent. e strong symbolism that comes out of the images exhibited in geographical maps rediscovers the main relation between the man and the earth, and it brings face to face the past and the most recent memory, in the search of a conciliatory approach with the Nature and the own human condition.
