Retablillo de don Cristóbal y la señá Rosita, de Teatro de las Estaciones.

From April 24 to 29, the International Puppet Workshop (Titim) will be held in Matanzas, the most awaited party by lovers of tableaus in our country. Since 1994, national and foreign artists gather their knowledge and efforts in the so-called Athens of Cuba, in favor of the promotion and dignifying of an art as old as it is endearing.
The 13th edition will be dedicated to the fifty years of Guiñol de Remedios “Fidel Galbán” and the sister island of Puerto Rico. Argentina, Canada, Costa Rica, Spain and Mexico complete the list of invited nations.
The Titim will have four very well defined segments of activity: four workshops for professionals.
Special events include exhibitions, lectures, book presentations, documentary films, concerts, twinning activities, the Hermanos Camejo y Pepe Carril award presented to teachers Miriam Sánchez and René Fernández and the presentation of the Unima 3 Americas Commission. The inauguration and closing activities will be conducted by young Matanzas artists from the Hermanos Saíz Association, the former, and the La Colmenita Children's Company Orchestra at the closing.
