Marcelo I. Gorajuría Marichal’s book, Historia y Pasion del Automovil en Cuba, was recently launched in Havana by Artex’s publishing company Ediciones Cubanas. It’s a volume that tackles many aspects related to Cuba’s motoring tradition, the main developments occurred in over a century, backed up by some four hundred pictures.

A brief introduction on Cuba, the arrival of the first automobiles, the development of the motor industry, numerous races organized since 1903,  testimonies issued by pilots, details on car brands, curiosities, the daily use of the existing car stock, the foundation of car clubs and many other interesting pieces of information.
