Michelin XM2 ideal Tire for Compromising Conditions
In early 2013 at the Chateau Miramar Hotel, Belgian company BDC International S.A. showcased a new design of tires for small and mid-size cars before its main customers and Cuban importers. Specially designed to withstand impacts and punctures, it takes into account the far-reaching scope of these characteristics in such markets as Central and South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
In road tests conducted by TÜD SÜD, a German institution specialized trials, tryouts, audit and registration, the XM2 grabbed remarkable outcomes in parameters related to wet surface breaking(4 m before) and dry surface breaking (3 m before). The durability is 20 percent bigger and impact resistance is 5 km/h higher. A special monitoring was carried out in 2013 by Edgar Bencid (field engineer with Michelin) and Norge Mena (specialist with BDC International), eventually assessed and endorsed by the Cuban Vessel Registry. Michelin XM2 won the Quality Gold Medal in FIHAV 2015.
