When Peugeot put it on the map within the framework of the 2012 Paris Engine Show, I didn’t think this model, after four years, would suddenly become the most popular and sough-after Peugeot on Cuban roads. Car rental agencies managed by Transtur and Rent A Car Vía (Transgaviota), altogether, have a fleet of over 1 000 Peugeot 301 units.

The 301 recalls a 508 of smaller size (4.44 m long, 1.75 m width, 1.47 m heightand 2.65 m wheelbase). The interior characteristics include automatic a/c system, radio with CD/MP3/USB/Bluetooth player, rear parking sensor, stability control, among others. In a road test conducted in late 2013 ,it did pretty well with urban traffic and out on the road; moreover, it showed its uphill power with might and main. One of the most outstanding conveniences is the truck capacity (506 L), which can be increased to 1 038 L if the rear seats are reclined.
