It certainly took some time, but Lada has finally rolled out a new model that, faithful to the tradition held by the Russian brand of producing cheap and long-lasting vehicles, is going to be a “low-cost” sedan named Vesta.

This Lada (4.41 m long, 1.76 m width and 1.50 m height) is based on a platform developed in collaboration with the Nissan-Renault alliance and the aim is to have a functional, practical and affordable car, with such conveniences as its huge 480 L trunk. So it’ll have a 1.6 16v L4 atmospheric engine and 106 CV under the hood, in line with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. Lada Vesta will be first launched with a 4-door body for the Russian market.
