Artbo will convert Colombia into an ideal scenario to show the best in the field of plastic arts. The International Art Fair in Bogota is considered by many as the perfect event for the art market in Latin America.
Organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, the event will bring together major national and international galleries and more than 500 artists, from 27th to 30th October. Its purpose is to provide a unique platform in the country to showcase the work of established and emerging artists.
To be in Artbo one must go through a rigorous selection process. Thus, the sample exhibits a balance between established and emerging spaces, with avant-garde proposals. This year 57 galleries from 29 cities in the world will participate.
Artbo stands out not only for its high commercial profile, but also for its varied cultural and academic program. The idea is to interest viewers, visualize trends and aesthetic, ease access to the art world and encourage learning.
The Fair came in 2005 to "promote and position the city as an ideal place for culture and business place, be a commercial meeting point and a space for cultural exchange and promote the awareness and participation of all audiences"..
