Actor and theater director Michaelis Cué completed a successful tour in Asunción, with his monologue Marx en el Soho (Marx in Soho,) based on the work of American historian Howard Zinn. His presentations responded to an invitation of outstanding Paraguayan actor, director and theater designer José Luis Ardissone, the founder in 1982 of Arlequín Teatro, an outstanding theater institution in that South American country.
Presented in many cities of the world and premiered in 2004 in Havana, the work recreates Karl Marx´s adventures («allowed to return to the world of the living»), as a result of a bureaucratic error, thus showing up in New York's Soho. The text, bold and controversial, reviews the life of the author of Das Kapital («Capital. Critique of Political Economy») that transcended his revolutionary philosophical ideas, but who was also a common man.
