He is an architect graduated from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, La Paz, Bolivia, in 1989.
In 1985 he won the second prize in painting in the "Arquitectos en el Arte" contest. In 1999 a painting of his was selected at the Biennial of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. In 2001 he exhibited at the Taipinquiri gallery and in 2003 in Vienna, Austria. 
In 2004 he participated in the collective exhibition Arquitectos en el arte, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and in 2006 he represented Bolivia in the América Do Sul Festival, in Brazil. In 2008 he had his solo exhibition Entre el minimalismo, color y otras búsquedas, and in 2014 Water fort at the Springfield Bolivian gala Independence Day, in Virginia, United States.
