The renowned Salvadoran artist Alvaro Torres has been visiting the island for eight years. This time, he returns to Havana to resume the recording sessions of an album with the Egrem label (Company of Musical Recordings and Editions.) Torres, a member of the Hall of Fame
of Latin Composers, was also invited this summer to the first edition of the Varadero Josone/Jazz & Son Festival, held in the country's main spa between July 12 and 15.
The record, which does not yet have a title, represents a challenge in Alvaro's career, as he has to deal with musical arrangements that are identified with Cuban musical rhythms, never before worked on by him. The production and promotion agenda is scheduled for the months of July and December of this year.
«I would very much like to organize an exceptional launching. I would love to do a live concert in Havana´s Plaza de la Catedral with the guests, a unique evening, so you should start making your plans to join me. We would also want to organize a national tour, presentations around various countries and festivals», he said.
