«I like to learn how to do what I design. I have realized that this offers more possibilities when it comes to creating, because I can also transform productive systems. In Cuba, industry has not yet recognized the importance of design for their productions; designers in some cases are seen as an obstacle, because we may generate some changes in the productive process, and these changes, of course, would also generate benefits for the industry.
»Design contributes a lot to industry, because it can reduce its costs and productive flows. It can generate a product of high demand, and if this in turn works well, people will buy it.
»I put my heart and all my energy on my work, and I trust design. I have confidence in design because I believe it is a necessary specialty. Everyone wants to be happy. I think that a good design can generate a smile. Aesthetically, it is nice. When you use it, whether in a piece of furniture or an object, they can be comfortable and functional».
