The popular art deco design movement started to have a marked influence on decorative arts since 1920, and although its greatest expression ends in 1939, there are places where it was extended until the 1950s. And, of course, art deco also had its ancestry in industrial design, both in cars and motorcycles.
The Talbot-Lago model T150-C SS, presented in the New York Hall of 1937, is a mixture of elegance and sportiness that in its time was one of the summits of French motoring of this period between wars. In the New York Hall it earned the nickname of "drop of water" due to those spectacular lines and its aerodynamic silhouette. For many, it was one of the most beautiful cars in history.
