The development of the new Ninja, the two-time Superbike champion, has been directly supported by Tom Sykes and the entire Kawasaki Racing Team, a collaboration that has helped the Japanese brand create the closest model to a racing Superbike in its history, according to the company’s front office.

Kawasaki has worked hard on it and clung to the aggressive character of Ninja ZX10-R, focused on improving the thrust. A new cylinder cap and a 20-percent-lighter crankshaft have been included to do the trick. The electronic section also features modifications with the introduction of a Bosch inertial measure unit that works with the dynamic modeling program developed by Kawasaki. Both the body and the shock-absorbing system show important modifications too.
