The Centro Provincial de Artes Visuales (Provincial Center of Visual Arts) welcomes the 330th anniversary of the foundation of Santa Clara city with an Open Hall.  Twenty artists dedicated to photography star in the tribute to the city of Marta and Che, thus sending a message that we must take into account for the exhibition and promotional strategy of the institution.

 We focus on photography, which has so much history in our territory.  We should recognize that a long time ago we did not see the Provincial Gallery of Art full of images so diverse determined to tell stories, to reflect on urban and environmental deterioration and to relive, with both nostalgia and optimism, the splendor of a beautiful and cultured city.  The topicality of a series of seemingly outdated issues that take us by the hand to past times is somewhat ambiguous and disturbing.  The traditional and the novelty interact in the most noble and original way to reveal the city to us.
