The piece of news as such is no news at all, since most of us (or all of us) were foreseeing it, but Toyota once again holds the crown as the world’s top automaker for four years in a row. The problems faced by German group Volkswagen in 2015 undoubtedly helped, but no body could stop the Japanese giant from standing out as the only company that sold over 10 million cars last year.t

Despite the fact that its international deliveries went south nearly one percent as compared to 2014, including the results of its Hino and Daihatsu subsidiaries, Toyota sold 10.15 million vehicles in 2015, stacked up against 9.9 and 9.8 million reported by Volkswagen and US General Motors (GM), respectively.
