From September 4 to November 28, the Spanish public will have the opportunity once again to enjoy the performance of the renowned ballet company.

The company’s program consists of two pieces that have been highly praised by the public and international critics: Swan Lake —to open the season at Tivoli Theater, Barcelona, on September 7-18; and Cinderella, to be performed at Canal Theater, Madrid, on September 23 – October 2. The two acclaimed ballets will be staged at Principal Theater of Alicante; Leon Auditorium; Calderon Theater, in Valladolid; Principal Theater of Burgos; Euskalduna Theater, Bilbao; Kursaal Theater of San Sebastian; Palacio de los Festivales, Santander; and in different cities throughout Castile-La Mancha and Galicia. One of the main features of the Cuban National Ballet are its famous versions of great romantic and classic choreographies of the traditional repertoire, almost all of them created by its founder and director Alicia Alonso, based on original choreographic elements inherited from tradition. The Cuban National Ballet has been very well reviewed by the critic and widely recognized by ballet dancers and audiences all over the world. The BNC’s authentic style, acting coherence and richness of its choreographic vocabulary are, as said by critics, the most distinguishing elements of the company and some of the most famous theaters of the world —such as Paris Opera, Las Scala, Milan; San Carlo Theater, Naples; Vienna State Opera; and Colon Theater, Buenos Aires; among others— have included the Cuban version of several ballets in their repertoires.
