A Grand International Gathering for Travel Business
The fair, slated for Jan. 3 to Feb. 3 in Madrid, will piece together an agenda of business meetings among participants and international buyers, with special attention paid to potential markets in Hispanic America and Africa.
Organized by IFEMA, FITUR will hold its 33rd edition featuring a vast representation from the world travel sector. Three months from its grand opening, the response from FITUR’s different exhibition spaces has been very positive, with a whopping 92 percent of attendance confirmed, a condition that brings about the best scenario for attendees to promote and market their products.
In this upcoming edition, FITUR KNOW-HOW & EXPORT (boosted by FITUR) ICEX and SEGITTUR (a new space for travel companies to come up with the most innovating solutions for the sector’s comprehensive management) are some of the standouts. On the other hand, the International Buyer Program will be organized on the basis of proposals made by the exhibitors and invitations to professional heavyweights in the industry. INVESTOUR Americas will be held in a bid to provide contacts between participants from that world region and attendees from the rest of the world. What’s more, the Third Workshop of Hosted Buyers, aimed at professionals interested in putting their products on the map before the eyes of their peers, will come around in this edition.
Aware of the fact that there cannot be tourism without sustainability policies, a new edition of FITURGREEN has been called. FITURTECH is coming back to the fair, this year under the title Next Travel Generation and with great contributions to make as far as cutting-edge technology applied to tourism is concerned. FITUR will present differentiated exhibition sections, such as FITUR LGBT and RECEPTIVO ESPAÑA (INCOMING SPAIN).
FITUR is opening the travel and tourism event calendar. During the five-day gathering, industry stakeholders from around the world will showcase projects, strategies and market trends. The 2013 season will be off to a great start, outlining the working strategies and setting the tone for the year to come.
Last year’s edition of FITUR gathered 210,877 attendees and 9,506 companies from 167 countries or regions.
