Among all major influences in his life, giorgio points out to the privilege of being a son of Florence, something that’s been very important for him because “it has dramatically contributed to the formation of my creative capability.”

The emblematic city is known as “the cradle of art and the truth is you can unconsciously breathe in and assimilate the perfection of its geometry, and that winds up being a guiding light through your whole life,” he adds.

This basically marks the work of his company in terms of design, like a consequent projection in which his personal vision counts, as does a refined and innovative style ready to make the most of the new things and the cur-rent glamour to come up with an image of finesse and good taste.

Giorgio Gucci has been around in Cuba over the past seven years and in that span of time, “especially in Havana, over 15 boutiques and stores have popped up. as to the new initiatives, we’ve planned on the opening of a new showroom at the Global bank in Panama and a franchise in Costa Rica.” “In Cuba, we’re willing to expand our presence,” he explains, “and announce the upcoming opening of new boutiques in other major shopping malls in the outskirts of Havana.”

Even though Giorgio Gucci’s collections of items are very much all the rage –like footwear, women’s purses and off-the-peg dresses– his inventories of children’s clothing and accessories are increasingly catching on.

“However, in recent months we’ve designed and introduced a new line of women’s footwear that has gotten two enthusiastic thumbs up in the Cuban market,” he goes on to explain.

Following an off-the-cuff talk with the impresario in which he has revealed some of his company’s upcoming projections, as well as a few viewpoints about the ever-evolving world of fashion and the need to have a stamp of its own, Giorgio Gucci says that as the 11th Habano Festival draws near he’d like to lay bare the “tremendous admiration I’ve always had for this Cuban-made wonder called Habano and its rollers, because each Habano and each vitola are like the end results of one of the loveliest artworks ever made.”
