Beyond figures, the relevance of the International Fair of Modern and Contemporary Art Art Basel Miami Beach 2016 was in the feeling of gallery owners, directors, curators and sponsor of major museums and international institutions. More than 269 galleries from 29 countries, 177,000 visitors in five days and millions of dollars in sales of works of art are some of the facts proving its relevance.

The visit of the writer, essayist, journalist, politician and university professor Mario Vargas Llosa, Nobel Prize for Literature 2010, was an event at the Nader Art Museum in Latin America (Namla).“I am very enthusiastic and proud of the presence of such an outstanding and integral collection of Latin American art in the cosmopolitan city of Miami, the crossroads of the Americas,” he said.
Gary Nader, the largest Latin American art collector, continued to make headlines at Art Basel Miami Beach, this time with a surprising profit auction consisting of 117 lots of 80 artists.

Among the numerous art publications present at Art Basel Miami Beach 2016 was for the sixth consecutive year the Spanish group Excelencias. The publisher José Carlos de Santiago and his team of collaborators presented the 31th issue of Arte por Excelencias during the opening of the Exhibition of Latin American art in the gallery Alberto Linero.
Art Basel Miami Beach 2016, world convention of modern and contemporary art, has once again made history and has consolidated Miami as the capital of art.
