- A SHRINE FOR CUBAN TOBACCO.
A habano is always a token of distinction and good taste, a vegetal gem that adds distinction and elegance to whoever shows it off, let alone the chance to brag about that it was bought in the land that produces the world’s finest tobacco: Cuba.
There’s no better place on this Caribbean island where the country’s three world-class flagship products –habanos, its delicious coffee and its internationally acclaimed rums- rub elbows with one another than in the Casas del Habano run by the Caracol S.A. company.
A dozen establishments scattered around the main travel destinations that deliver those gourmet delicacies, also dish out the kindheartedness and experience of their salespeople, thus making the Caracol establishments a one-of-a-kind place –beyond the sales- to delve into the magic realm of habanos, to wallow in a pairing with various Cuban rums and coffees in the smokers’ rooms, to feast eyes on the habano vitolas inside the walk-in humidors, or just to take back home a Cuban cigar deftly hand-rolled before the customer’s very eyes.
The fact of the matter is that the Casas del Habano –their products are certified as denominations of origin, supported by Habanos S.A., the producer of Cuban cigars- are more than just a store, but rather a shrine where cigars lie before they depart to spread their wonderful scent to every nook and cranny of the world.
XXVIII INTERNATIONAL MEETING PARTAGAS’ FRIENDS
Once again the Casa del Habano at the Partagas cigar factory, owned by Caracol S.A., will host the 28th edition of the Partagas’ Friends Meeting on Nov. 16-20, 2015. This traditional event comes around every year to gather over a hundred people coming from all around the globe.
Nestled right in the heart of Havana, in the factory where the world-acclaimed cigars from the Partagas brand are rolled, this tobacco-cult space boasts a payroll of workmates who make friends with all customers, drawn by the hospitality this store has become famous for.
Dinners and cigar tasting sessions, city tours, visits to beaches and the countryside, as well as a gala dinner that always comes up with some kind of special surprise, mark this gathering that time around brings in more attendees, convinced that at the Partagas Casa del Habano they have a place they can call home in Cuba.
