Tourism market trends, technological and management innovations, new market segments and a significant presence of the world tourism offer will once again come together in FITUR 2016, the International Travel Show, slated to hold its 36th edition on January 20-24.
FITUR, traditionally organized by IFEMA, will open the international circuit of tourism-oriented events. The show will stand out as the greatest business platform of the international travel industry by putting together the most complete sample of proposals and services provided by companies, entities and institutions from 165 countries and regions of the world.
The International Travel Show lays out its offer according to the different spaces it has developed and, specifically, the new sections: FITUR SHOPPING and FITUR HEALTH.
In collaboration with the ITH, and along with the World Travel Organization, FITUR extends the invitation to participate in the seventh edition of FITURGREEN, which proposes the innovation and sustainability of the travel industry as a way to foster competitiveness. On the other hand, the sixth FITUR GAY (LGBT) delivers a business space for the gay sector, which is gaining momentum in the world travel industry as a hefty and demanding niche.
FITUR will boost its B2B meeting program, one-on-one meetings and scheduled contact agenda, in a bid to facilitate exchange possibilities and business agreements.
Likewise, FITUR renews its commitment to the sustainable development of Africa, by means of its travel industry, with the Africa Travel Investments and Business Forum, INVESTOUR, to hold its seventh edition on January 21, 2016.
FITUR will develop an intense program of professional sessions and meetings, including the eighth Travel Leadership Forum, organized by EXCELTUR; ceremonies scheduled by the WTO. As a value added to the marketing activity of the show, the monographic sections of FITUR —FITUR KNOW HOW & EXPORT, FITURTECH, FITURGREEN, FITUR GAY (LGBT)— are going to feature a complete program of sessions and parallel activities, where highly-qualified experts from around the world will be assessing the ongoing situation of the travel industry.
