Cuban Motoring Makes a Splash in the Cinema Festival
The creativeness of Cuban mechanics and drivers, the nostalgia for the return of car races to our cityscapes, and rock-solid bonds that build among members of certain motor clubsare some of the motifs proposed by U.S. producer Bent-Jorgen Permultt in his movie Havana Motor Club.
Bent-Jorgen told Excelencias del Motor that, despite the fact that his movie has been screened in some events related to the field, he experienced a sea of feelings at the movie theater because of the atmosphere there and the reaction of the audience, with rounds of applause. “That’s quite impressive. I was very keyed up because there were some technical glitches before the screening, but everything was finally ready. I’m very pleased,” he said. Moreover, he pointed out that the very best element of the shooting process was to find a true family on the island, and that’s the reason why he has decided to work on a series dedicated to Cuban motoring.
