Sprouts: Living Sources of Food
Currently, sprouts are recognized as very special foods among people with tendencies towards healthy eating practices. Freshly sprouted grains and legumes have a large amount of chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and other vital substances. Examples of vitamins include those contained in wheat sprouts: B-complex vitamins (including B12), and vitamins A, C, E, folic acid and pantothenic acid, as well as choline. They also contain calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, zinc, iodine, potassium, along with the essential amino acids that the body needs.
For thousands of years, Asians recommended the preferential consumption of sprouts or beans sprouts to achieve live more than 100 years. And it was not a question of living many years but of doing so with quality and free of disease, since sprouts are one of the few foods we eat when they are still alive, which greatly increases their nutritional value.
