Since 2012, when different cities and communities began to be nominated to receive this award, gastronomy has become a leader on the national scene. In fact, the Murcian Community is considered to be "Europe's vegetable orchard", a term it has acquired thanks to the sustainability of its agricultural production and its respect for nature and local produce.
