Havana Company, founded twenty-five years ago, continues to raise the Cuban circus tradition. Paris, Rome, the Vatican...are just some destinations of the great family of the National Circus of Cuba. It was the great winner of the 17th International “Festival Circuba 2018” with seven laureates at the contest, including a Grand Prix holder.
"We received an invitation to go to the Pope's birthday celebrations in the Vatican," says Germán Muñoz, general artistic director of the Company. The Pope was delighted with the Company. It happened that, during the show this year, juggler Yaikel Plasencia dared to put a spinning ball on the Pope´s finger and the photo went viral. For these artists, to make their way like circus greats is a reward for the effort one has made."
