The documentary film Aire frío, the casting, a coproduction by Producciones Caricatos, the Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC) and Alma Films, and directed by Rolando Almirante, had its premiere at the Chaplin cinema in the Cuban capital.
“Aire frío, the casting” gathers five theater directors - Carlos Diaz, Carlos Celdrán, Antonia Fernández, Raúl Martín and Fátima Patterson - who display their individual poetics to conceive some scenes from the homonymous work of Virgilio Piñera (Cárdenas, Matanzas, August 4, 1912 - Havana, October 18, 1979) in an attempt to provide a contemporary look at the creative legacy of the most universal of our dramatists.
