Vertigo horizontal, in the Argentine pavilion of the 16th Architecture Biennial, open from May to November 2018 in the Arsenal of the Venice Biennale with curatorship by architects Javier Mendiondo, Pablo Anzilutti, Francisco Garrido and Federico Cairoli, proposes a cross dialogue between geographic spaces and places.
"It is an invitation to rediscover the Argentine territory as a collective construction and unveil architecture in its capacity to arouse unexpected generosities in each project," the curators affirmed. «Vertigo horizontal runs through the folds of our geography, as a blueprint of the architectural production of the last few decades. These works trace a horizontal landscape where particular interventions or collective initiatives come circumstantially in contact, in dialogue ».
The idea of the pavilion goes far beyond what at first glance one could imagine.
