In 1989, the Mestisay group from the Canary Islands visited Cuba, invited by the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), which was inaugurated at that time as the promoter institution of the youngest intellectuals and artists of the Island.
From that visit came an artistic exchange that, among other good things, left behind Olga Cerpa and Mestisay. Three decades later there is a new return of this artist with the Vereda Tropical project, in co-production with the Egrem for the Cuban territory.
Vereda Tropical is a cultural production of international scope that unites three cities: Las Palmas from Gran Canaria, Mexico and Havana, through popular music of the forties and fifties that have been part of their cultural DNA, interpreted by the  Municipal Symphonic Band from Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, the Symphonic Band of the Faculty of Music of the UNAM and the Orchestra of the Amadeo Roldán School of Havana.
