The youngest plastic artists in Cuba occupy the center of the bull's-eye. It is that Post it, Contest of Contemporary Art, channels its compass in that direction: to in the making artists, those we do not know and who are working their own way in art. The contest opens a range of possibilities for the emerging artistic context between eighteen and thirty-five years of age. The curatorial quality and the rigor of the jury are guaranteed.
In the fifth edition, 119 artists from twelve provinces of the country and the special municipality from Youth Isle participated. A prestigious jury was responsible for selecting twenty-five finalist works.
The pieces were exhibited at Galiano Gallery between September 5 and October 26. Again the most represented manifestations were painting, drawing and photography. Each year the number of participants from different parts of the Island increases. It will be that in the eagerness to recognize themselves, the young artists want to measure themselves in the thermometer of a multiple and heterogeneous contest.
