To celebrate summer 2015, the Provincial Department of Culture of Villa Clara and its network of institutions organized «Musica sin par» (Unparalleled Music), concert season with more than 100 presentations and guests such as Jose Maria Vitier, Buena Fe, Ivette Cepeda, Pancho Amat and Liuba Maria Hevia. The name comes from a poem by Samuel Feijoo, dedicated to the Cuban musician and composer Sergio Vitier and evoked with regard to the centenary of the birth of poet and anthropologist from Las Villas, which also celebrated during 2014.
In order to provide the greatest novelty and potential diversity, the organizers bet on not repeating the artists who performed last year. «Musica sin par» also sheltered the event «Bonito y sabroso», oriented to programming in enclosed areas to which the viewer can have access for a small fee at the box office and enjoy of high call groupings event, which usually do not visit the province.
Probably the most viable of this particular season is its popular vocation, this time resulted in more than 120 artistic performances in cities and towns, backed by no less than 100,000 spectators, all with amenity and rigor without neglecting the different sectors of public of the capital city, square coveted by our artists and accustomed to a regular exercise program that stands out for the quality and diversity of its offer.
In this regard, the contribution of «Musica sin par» is invaluable as a practical model of long-term programming that does not neglect essential aspects such as visual identity and coherence of its information strategy, enhancing sensitivity of the viewer so often underestimated and real assimilation capacity versus an entertaining but complex cultural program.
