An actress of radio, television, theater and cinema, Oneida Hernández Lorenzo is recognized as the first female image of the Noticiero Nacional de la Televisió n Cubana (Cuban National TV Newsreel) for more than thirty years and the host of the show Te lo cuentan las estrellas of Cubavision TV networks.
Oneida received the Actuar Award for a lifetime´s work in 2010, along with great actors and actresses with whom she has shared stages since 1960 until her retirement at Radio Arte. Simultaneously, she worked at the Rita Montaner theater company for more than six years, under the direction of Gerardo Fulleda León.
She has been presented innumerable awards, such as the Distinción por la Cultura Nacional (Award for the National Culture) and the Medalla Raúl Gómez García (Raúl Gómez García Medal.)
