Plastic Dreaminess: Metaphysical Purity
ArtHunters is constantly gunning for contemporary by supporting multidisciplinary spaces where fledgling artists who start to make a splash in the world of art come together. This time around, the exhibit is being staged at Alley 19 and is called Plastic Dreaminess, a proposal that delves into the human ability to make time stand still in a world that moves at white-heat’s pace.
Plastic Dreaminess proposes an escape into abstraction into a neutral, pure and genuine world through simple contemplation of the static. The cleanness and size of a 600-square-meter space is the showroom of choice to lay out a concept in which modern materials are already a continuation of the works. There are no such things as borderlines in a dreamy and personal world; materials interact with one another as artists melt into the environment in sheer silence.
Modernity combines with the smooth plasticity of a rich interior, yet solitary art. The imaginary worlds, the evocation to the natural forms, the respect for the purity of materials and the pause of the metaphysical spaces are the tokens of this exposition.
Artists like Maurizio Lanzilotta, Loretta Polgrossi, Laura Romero Chamorro and Jose Luis Angulo will be attending this show under one common banner: the simplification of forms without external tampering, just letting spectators configure their own universe within the work, and viceversa.
