Accidentes Poligráficos
Presentación de la exposición de Carlos Resano en el Consulado de Argentina en Barcelona.

In the “Islas Malvinas” Hall of the General Consulate and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in Barcelona, the Accidentes poligráficos (by Argentine artist Carlos Esteban Resano Vasilchik (Buenos Aires, 1956)) exhibition of paintings and drawings was presented. A trained architect - he graduated in Mar de Plata teacher, illustrator and painter. For thirty years now, he has lived and worked in the small fishing village of El Masnou, a few kilometers from Barcelona. In his home country, he taught architectural drawing classes for the Association of Architects of Mar de Plata.

I met him in 2003 on the occasion of the collective exhibition L'art i la Il lustració i el Còmic, at the Sant Pol Art gallery (Sant Pol de Mar, Barcelona): we were both their curators. Subsequently, he has been combining collective exhibitions with individual exhibitions. Now, thanks to the exhibition presented at the Argentine consulate, we have been able to see the work of the last fifteen years, through painting and illustration. The artist has divided “Accidentes poligráficos” into three sections: a tribute to important figures from the world of painting, drawings related to the history of the conquest of Patagonia, and literary fantasy.
