The Puerto Vallarta Film Festival comes back around with feature presentations and documentaries from North and South America, all packed in a complete and assorted program. As all world film festivals, the one in Puerto Vallarta is no stranger to the glowing glamour of the big screen,with invited movie stars that attend major presentations and the Closing Ceremony.

This final gala is reserved for the handing of the John Houston Mavericks Awards to the best movie and best director, the Richard Burton Thespian Awards in the best actor and best actress categories, plus the Elizabeth Taylor Humanitarian Award, among others.

This year’s guest of honor will be Peter O’Toole, while the Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Roger Corman. John Fitzgerald will be at the 2005 Film Festival a part of the executive committee, overseeing the festival and inviting box-office celebrities to join the show. Fitzgerald has achieved a rock-solid career in the moviemaking industry. He’s a cofounder of Slamdance and acting executive of the Santa Barbara Film Festival,among other events.
