The vitola stock of the “most romantic premium cigar of all” has been on a roll, and now for this 19th edition of the Habano Festival, the new Romeo y Julieta Petit Royales (ring gauge 47 x 95mm long) pops up, thus joining the brand’s regular portfolio.
This shorter, thicker ring-gauge Habano is in line with today’s smoking trendsetters that are increasingly catching on among aficionados from around the globe. The new Petit Royales delivers in a much shorter time span, all the scent, balance and assorted shades that Romeo y Julieta’s classic mild-tasting cigar has to offer.
Romeo y Julieta Petit Royales will hit the market in two different presentations: a 25-unit box and a three-tube pouch.
All Habanos from the Romeo y Julieta brand are completely rolled by hand with long filler, with leaves chosen in Vuelta Abajo*, the world’s finest tobacco area, in the region of Pinar del Rio*, Cuba*.
Romeo y Julieta is a historic brand in the Habanos S.A.’s portfolio, founded in 1875. Winston Churchill was one of the brand’s most devout smokers. Since his Havana visit in 1946, his name was used in some of the rings and he prompted the creation of the brand’s best-known vitola: Churchills by Romeo y Julieta.
Romeo y Julieta basked in the limelight of the 17th Habano Festival, held in February 2015, with the launch of the Wide Churchills Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009 (ring gauge 55 x 130mm long).
