THIS HABANO, EXCLUSIVELY THOUGHT OUT AT THE ONSET FOR THE LIKING OF THE FRENCH, EXPLAINS ITS SOPHISTICATED BOUQUET THAT CAPTIVATES AND ENTHRALLS BOTH EXPERTS AND ENTUSIASTS

Quai D’Orsay is a brand whose origin can be traced in the particular liking of the French people. It was created in the 1970s and was named after a famous avenue in Paris, on the edge of the Seine River, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Gare D’Orsay Museum and the former headquarters of SEITA -the multinational tobacco company tasked with distributing Habanos in France- are located.
The first units popped up in France in 1974, with distribution is very closed circles. Little by little, the brand lost part of its shine and only the Coronas Claro vitola prevailed. But thanks to Antoine Bathie,  SEITA Cigares' current General Manager, who came up with the idea of launching a regional edition —a Robusto announced in 2012— Quai D’ Orsay reemerged.
The Quai D’Orsay brand is known as one of the softest brands on the island and stands out for its notes of precious woods and honey, vanilla and hazelnut, with an elegant bouquet of dry flowers and pleasing end of earthy notes.
For nearly 40 years, the brand has remained as a discreet gem in Habanos S.A.’s portfolio, mostly available for France’s most seasoned enthusiasts and whose main launches have come by the hand of Regional Editions, for a grand total of four over the last decade, equally exclusive for the French market.
