MONTECRISTO ADDS A NEW PRODUCT TO ITS PORTFOLIO: LINEA 1935, NAMED AFTER THE LARGER-THAN-LIFE BRAND’S FOUNDATIONAL YEAR AND SET TO BECOME ITS TOP PREMIUM CHOICE

One of the main highlights of this 19th Habano Festival will no doubt be the launch of Linea 1935 by the Montecristo brand. A trio of new vitolas joins the brand’s regular portfolio in what’s expected to be the legendary habano’s most premium choice of all.
Out of the three vitolas, two of them are completely new in Habanos’ portfolio:
Maltés (53 x 153 mm) and Dumas (49 x 130 mm), while Leyenda (55 x 165 mmm), takes the size of the Montecristo 80 Aniversario special edition that had a limited launch in 2015 to mark the brand’s 80th anniversary.
The habanos contained in this new line have been completely hand-rolled with long filler, following a selection of exquisite leaves for filler, binder and wrapper from the finest plantations in Pinar del Rio’s* Vuelta Abajo*, the land of the world’s very best tobacco. Linea 1935 features a strong-tasting blend, a first in the Montecristo brand which complements the much milder taste of the Linea Clasica and Linea Edmundo, let alone the mild-to-strong taste of the Linea Open blend.
Montecristo’s Linea 1935 is packed in an exclusively-designed box within the Habanos’ portfolio, with a fancy brownish lacquered finish and with elegant bevel edges. The box lid shows off the Linea 1935 seal -inspired in the brand’s band design and whose previous rendition came out during Montecristo’s 80th anniversary commemorative edition.
The habanos contained in this launch also feature an exclusive and new presentation. The brand’s traditional band now depicts a small ribbon with the vitola’s name on it, plus another band on the burning tip with the traditional fleur-de-lis emblem the brand has always been famous for since its birth.
