You will be treated by highly-qualified professionals in facilities that have been upgraded over the past years with cutting-edge technology in this field of healthcare. These places are focused on assuring service immediacy when it comes to treating emergencies or correcting functional or aesthetical matters with an impact on the health and beauty of a smile.
A batch of over twenty dentist’s chairs has been installed in the so-called Clínicas del Sol and hotel-based doctor’s offices, so stomatology assistance is provided in the main Cuban travel destinations.
They are all under the helm of the provincial branches of Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A., which manages the services provided by more-specialized institutions, such the Stomatology Center nestled in the Cira Garcia Central Clinic, in Havana’s Miramar neighborhood.
The Center’s team is made up of experienced medical and technical personnel, and its infrastructure features up-to-date equipment and products, so treatments meet high quality standards.
Each patient is assessed in a multidisciplinary way and offered follow-up care after going through a number of procedures, ranging from overall stomatology assistance to prosthesis fitting, orthognathic surgery and rehabilitation.
The well-assorted list of services provided by the institution also includes specialized pediatric dentistry and geriatric dentistry, all variants of orthodontics, periodontics, tooth whitening, medical counseling, natural and traditional medicine for certain ailments, plus implants.
The latter is currently one of the most sought-after services and engulfs three phases: diagnosis, surgery and rehabilitation. The level of excellence achieved in the procedure has made rejection rates fall under 0.5 percent. The treatments involve metal-porcelain crowns and can be divided into stages. They are backed up by the best laboratory and surgical room of their kind in Cuba.
Moreover, the Center features imaging diagnosis, orthopantomograph for 3D panoramic X-rays and teleradiography equipment. If further radiology procedures are required, the Clinic provides them as well.
But this is not the only institution of its kind in the country. In Varadero, for example, a state-of-the-art stomatology clinic provides caters to tourists. It has been fitted out with three dentist’s chairs and a surgery room. The specialists working there are able to carry out treatments of all kind, from basic to the most complex ones.
