The Excelencias Gourmet Project’s 10th Anniversary

Our project was born back in 2007 with the aim to supporting the education and information of professionals and enthusiasts of gastronomy, by publishing in our www.excelenciasgourmet.com digital newspaper, website and printed magazine, opinions and teachings issued by masters of international gastronomy.
The pieces of information published in our means have tackled different matters, ranging from the proper way to set a table to the harmony (pairing) with rums and wines, mixology, Habanos or the harmlessness of food, just to mention some examples.
We have also organized seminars and other gastronomic events in Cuba, Mexico, Panama and the Dominican Republic, where these world-class gastronomic leaders share their teachings. We also announce our Excelencias Gourmet Awards every year, which are given within the framework of Fitur, in Madrid.
Excelencias Gourmet has been the Excelencias Group’s contribution to the culinary development of Latin America, by taking Spain’s experience as an international gastronomic leader, which is a highly valued element for tourists that visit the country.
The nonstop collaboration and support provided by the Latin American Gastronomy Academy (AIG is the Spanish acronym) and the Royal Gastronomy Academy (RAG is the Spanish acronym), as well as the appointment as Ambassador of the AIG —with the mission of supporting the countries of the region to create their own Gastronomy Academies, such as the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Panama, and other five nations that are about to open theirs— make us feel proud of this collaboration.
