Just a few years ago, when it came to mentioning top-of-the-line wines people used to refer to those produced in the so-called Old World, a bloc made up of countries like France, Italy, Spain and Portugal –just to name the major markets- while the other regions were never on the top of people’s minds.
Today, wines produced in the New World bask in the limelight as much as those hailing from the Old World. Even a number of top winemakers from Europe have decided to build their cellars and produce in those areas by the hand of the latest techniques and pouring all their experience and wisdom into their products.
