It could be said that she is noted for the versatility of her repertoire, her vocal strength and professionalism but Luna Manzanares is much more. She is energy, motion, strength, good vibes and faith. She has a crystalline tone. She represents with pride the young female talents.
When she was in her second year of her Theory and Choral Singing career in Amadeo Roldán conservatory, she was awarded the first mention in the vocal performing category of the JoJazz contest. That – according to Luna – was the trigger that sparked off her career. «The JoJazz posed a challenge to me as an artist, and established my career. It was the springboard for everything, a sort of debut in music society, which opened many doors as regards projects I further developed with other musicians. To be awarded a mention in this contest at that age created an expectation to be met and that catapulted me personally and professionally».
Thanks to her versatility, Luna captivates also in musical theater, a genre that has brought her many happy moments; among them was to play the lead in the show Carmen, la cubana, which was premiered in Paris in 2016. For her performance on this show, she was bestowed Knight of the Order of Arts of France. This was an unprecedented event in the history of this honorary award, bestowed only on persons with an already acclaimed career. Luna Manzanares became the youngest Latin American artist to be honored with this award.
In July, 2017, she signed a five-year contract as an exclusive artist of Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales
This artist is announcing that this will be the year of video clips and featuring in other artists’ productions. She will also return to the musical theater in a world tour around Germany, England and France.
