Acosta Danza, a company founded and directed by renowned Carlos Acosta, fulfilled the dream of creating an artistic group that could take advantage of all of Cuba's dance heritage: from the academic to the contemporary, going through modern technique and taking into account the most authentic popular and folkloric dances.
The company's corps de ballet combines the best of the country's dance scene. After three years of work, the results can be appreciated. Acosta Danza has a repertoire made up of pieces by choreographers of international renown.
The company is a reserve of young choreographers, designers, plastic artists, film directors and photographers. There is a long way to go and many challenges to overcome. As a new force in the Cuban art scene, Acosta Danza continues developing.
