On November 9, 2006, Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque, Vice President of the Council of State, accompanied by Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, granted solemn audience to the new ambassadors of Greece, Bulgaria and Norway to Cuba in a ceremony where the foreign officials handed in their letters of credence. Each of these ceremonies was attended by Protocol Chief Angel Reigosa de la Cruz. At the end of the ceremonies, the new ambassadors and their respective entourages laid wreaths at the Jose Marti Memorial.

Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic of Greece His Excellency Ilias Maltezos, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, was accompanied by First Secretary Grigoris Tassiopoulos, Attaché Panagiotis Vassiliadis, and Attaché Evagelos Papatheodorou. For the Cuban part, Protocol Deputy Director Hugo Ramos Milanes, Attaché Emilio Flores Suarez and Major Jorge Gonzalez Exposito, Chief of Staff of the Military House, attended the ceremony.

Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria His Excellency Tchavdar Mladenov Nicolov, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, was accompanied by Counselor Galina Hristeva Kostadinova. For the Cuban part, Ceremonial Division Chief Gabriel Tiel Capote, Protocol Official Faustino Madrazo Madrazo and Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Manuel Blanco Piloto, Chief of Staff of the Military Houses, attended the ceremony.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway His Excellency Knut Solem, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, was accompanied by Counselor Jan Tore Holvik and Second Secretary Cecilie Svensson. For the Cuban part, Protocol Deputy Chief Antonio Rodriguez Valcarcel, Attaché Ruben Ramos Rey and Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Palacio Gonzalez, Chief of Staff of the Military House, attended the ceremony.
