To turn twenty years old is the right age to deserve to consideration among those who struggle for a lifetime. In Arte por Excelencias we have joined in to keep celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Grupo Excelencias until June 2018. And we have decided to be Iberoamerica and the Caribbean’s magazine of art and culture.
Consequently, our favorite equation is 20 x 20 x 20, and this is our result: Excelencias sets off from twenty cities in Cuba, the Big Island of the Antilles heading to twenty festivals in the Americas and is present at twenty art fairs around the world.
We beg our readers, friends and collaborators to help us multiply our scope in their cities, festivals, fairs, and countries.
We are going to take a beautiful record, in this twentieth anniversary of Grupo Excelencias, of all those who fight and defend its memory from any spot on this planet, and struggle in their towns and cities to defend art and culture, committing themselves for a sustainable local development and also a universal one.
Let us go together all over the cities that are cultural capitals, even those that are not metropolitan, and whose artistic festivals and trade fairs turn them into the center of the world, thanks to the persistence of their founders.
Like a convoy along two continents, we will make stops in those capitals celebrating even anniversaries, in festivals that celebrate a new advent with the perseverance of their organizers, in art fairs that were the dream of their artistic promoters.
From every experience we will have a monthly gathering with all the friends who have participated in this twining sisterhood among our cities, their festivals and their most important fairs and events.
20 x 20 x 20 = Excelencias. And we count on you. Make your own proposals from wherever you read our magazine in the Americas and Europe. Let us continue to be a part of your history from twenty Cuban cities and heading to twenty international festivals, and also in twenty trade fairs of contemporary art, in this twentieth anniversary of Grupo Excelencias.
