Endemia, punk rock de Costa Rica, en la Tribuna Antiimperialista de La Habana.

The modest, insistent little train of the Patria Grande festival made a stop at Sancti Spíritus in November 2015, two months after that first encounter in which I was able to meet outstanding people at a human and professional level. It was instantaneous, like poles that attract: people with serious intentions to produce concrete facts.
Two consecutive concerts were held: one at the Teatro Principal and another at the Casa de la Guayabera, a bastion of cultural management and production led by the indefatigable promoter Carlos Figueroa. In these concerts participated two foreign groups of the emerging circuit, both of high artistic bill: Don Palabra (Colombia) and Paquiderma (Mexico).
The debut of the city as subsede was an event for the public and artists. He also proposed a bilateral exchange of consideration, with the presence of a Mexican multidisciplinary delegation in the festival Moons of Winter 2016. He came to generate a minimal folklore: a certain Aztec land musician returning to the province to marry a neighbor of Jatibonico ...
This year it was decided to raise the bet. Not only would the emerging bands perform, but also the main ones, the most important internationally. The previous environment and the highest authority in Culture conveyed seriousness and confidence. Again, the results were highly satisfactory. There were two concerts simultaneously, miles away. Artists such as Ana Tijoux (Chile) or Eruca Sativa (Argentina) played in Trinidad, while Endemia (Costa Rica) and Diafragma (Panama) performed in Sancti Spíritus.
Something very interesting, real, tangible, is happening in Sancti Spíritus. That the province has been in charge of the gala of July 26th is not a mere administrative fact. To say that something is new would be risky. As a cultural promoter, it is enough for me to know that it is something that I would like to be part of.
