The Elementary School of Dance Alejo Carpentier, institution of the artistic education system of Cuba, has a staff of teachers with great pedagogical experience, made up of maîtres and directors such as Carlos Acosta, Viengsay Valdés, Lázaro Carreño, who give prestige to Cuban dance.
It is located in the heart of El Vedado, known as Dance Elementary School since 2011, with an enrollment of 114 students, 82 females and 32 males. Its comprehensive training plan includes basic subjects of the specialty such as Dance Technique, Choreographic Creation, Performing Practice and Repertoire, Ballet, Dances and Folkloric Dances.
