We sat down with ARNOUD vAN SCHAIK, export representative with Bavaria, on the
20th anniversary of that brand in Cuba

EXCELENCIAS: How does Bavaria assess these 20 years of experience in Cuba?
Sr. van Schaik: Our mindset has always been a vision of market opportunities and
long-term perspectives of the country. Our assorted products and professionalism are
the one that actually make a di erence.

EXCELENCIAS: How has Bavaria celebrated this 20th birthday?
Sr. van Schaik: In January, we unveiled our product portfolio for Cuba. In addition to the Bavaria Premium 5% alc. vol., other energizing drinks, like Tigon, were rolled out.

EXCELENCIAS: What are the values that distinguish Bavaria?
Sr. van Schaik: Bavaria proposes the right beer for every preference and moment, so
that’s why we introduced the Mexican-type Light Beer, though clinging to our 8.6 dark
beer and all of its variants: the Bavaria Lager Premium 5% and the non-alcoholic 0.0% Bavaria.

EXCELENCIAS: What are Bavaria’s goals for the near future and in the long run?
Sr. van Schaik: We’ll remain in the Cuban market with Bavaria, though in the long run
we want to branch out our presence with an array of di erent tastes and productive
processes.
