The crystal-clear waters with shades in green and blue will be the unique scenario for the new edition of the Aquabikes World Championship in November of this year.

This event will be held at Havana City on 26-28 November and it is the only international event in this professional sport category which is going to be held in the world," stated Mirabel R. Riquenes Pérez, President of the Committee for the Promotion of Motor Water Sports in Cuba. "The Championship will be made to celebrate the 480 Anniversary of the Foundation of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana (1519) and with the objective of promoting the Havana littoral for other international events of this sort, not only in motor boats, but in any international water activities in general," stated Riquenes. The water circuit begins from La Chorrera (near 1830 Restaurant) and the turn should ends near the Spring of Youth located between the Riviera and Cohíba hotels with a surface distance of some 1600 to 1700 m. This event comprises three categories, one of them is that of 785 cc, free style, the machines should have a capacity of 500, 600 and 650 cc and the third category will be that of 1200 cc. The venue will be at the Riviera Hotel as the Main Villa. On November 26, the inauguration parade parades and the Ceremony will be held before the flag bearers who will be welcome by the Government of the Havana City and the opening speech will be delivered by Mauro Raviegna, the main promoter of the International Committee," said Riquenes. On the 27, at 12:30 at noon the competition will start.
