GETTING THERE By air: Aeroperlas (Phone: 315-7500) and Mapiex (Phone: 315-0888) offer services from the cities of David, Changuinola and Panama (just in an hour).The phone of Bocas del Toro airport office is: 757 - 9341. By road: From Panama city, the Interamerican road is taken toward the entrance of Gualaca (in the province of Chiriquí) and from there one can set out to Chiriquí Grande from whose port departs ferries toward the islands on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. A "sea taxi" can also be taken. Another choice is to take a bus that leaving from San José. Travelers may reach directly to Changuinola terminal and from there to take the bus to Almirante. At Almirante, the "sea taxi" leaves reaches to Bocas del Toro. The ferry travels toward Bocas del Toro only in Fridays and Sundays.
CLIMATE The climate is characterized by rainfalls in the morning or in the afternoon and the rest of the day the sun may shine.
EXCURSIONS It is possible to have a ride along the islands by taxis or rented cars. On the sea excursions, three different types of vessels are used: glass-fiber boats, sailing boats and boats made of wood or cayucos, that goes to any point of the archipelago.Places not-to-be missed are Marino Bastimentos Island National Park.
