With the addition of this giant hotel, Cuba's company Gaviota S.A. tries its hand at all-out management together with an international team of collaborators that will combine to guarantee the lodging facility's quality and good work.

The top-rated construction built under international guidelines was handled by the International Economic Association and pieced together by Bouygues Batiment, a French company, and U.C.M, a local construction firm.

Recreating the railroad topic, the building and its decoration evoke the history of Cuba as the world's fourth nation –the first in all Latin America- to ever make use of that means of transportation.

The resort's campus is checkered in avenues that bear street names from eastern Cuba like Enramada and La Gran Piedra in Santiago de Cuba, as well as the Alto Cedro Train Station, mentioned in Cuban crooner Compay Segundo's lyrics.

This 994-room hotel distributed in bungalows has three smorgasbord mess halls seating 1,200 patrons, a couple of a-la-carte restaurants, plus one poolside snack area and another beachfront restaurant.
